  • Ffmpeg rounds seconds instead of using the milliseconds part

    10 mai 2021, par NourElDineA

I tried to cut a video using the following command :

    ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -ss 00:00:00 -to 00:00:06.600 output.mp4

When I run the command ffmpeg rounds up and the output video is 7 seconds instead of 6.6 seconds.
I would like to know if there is a way to cut the video precisely where I tell it to.

Here is the log file content :

Up to now, i succeed in using Whisper with Colab (with GPU execution and model v3 ) without error message.
But today, i'm facing to an error message.
Firstly i execute successfully these 2 following commands :

    !pip install git+https://github.com/openai/whisper.git
!sudo apt update && sudo apt install ffmpeg

Then, when i execute this third following command :

    !whisper "88_89_90_91_103_104_105_106_100.mp3" --model large-v3

  • Converting MTS to MP4 using FFmpeg results in no/missing audio

    17 mars 2021, par tenninebt

I have a few videos coming from a Sony Nex-5N. Basically they are "compiled" in an AVCHD. The format that is inside is MTS. I'm able to convert the videos losslessly but the resulting MP4 has no audio.

    ffmpeg -i 20201205150626.MTS -c:v copy -c:a copy -an -f mp4 20201205150626.MP4

The result is no audio. Then I tried to select explicitly the audio track using -map 0:a:1 but it says that it does not matches no streams. Please have a look at the following extract :

    > ffmpeg -i 20201205150626.MTS -c:v copy -c:a copy -map 0:a:1 -an -f mp4 20201205150626.MP4
