• Auto remove blackframes on set time limit

  I would like to run a command that will remove parts of a video where there is more than 5 seconds of a completely black screen.

  I believe these are black frames.

  Is this possible ?

  I made an unsuccessful attempt

  ffmpeg -i test.mov -vf "blackdetect=d=2:pix_th=5.00" -an -f null - 2>&1 

• Traceback error with Python when using ffmpeg to convert a video

  The simple way my script runs is the user provides a folder location and a filetype and glob.glob() finds the files with the filetype provided and adds them to a list. It then uses a for loop and goes through the list and converts each video. But it doesn't like when I try to run my ffmpeg command. Any help would be awesome. I'm also using Win 7 64 bit with 64 bit ffmpeg and Python 3.3

  I've looked around and most of the tutorials are in 2.7 the code is 3.3 and I can't find a tutorial to use ffmpeg for 3.3. My ffmpeg is set to 'ffmpeg64' on my PATH.

• Firefox, Chrome, Safari have grey background for MP4 HTML5 video

  Any video (that I can make) with a white background becomes grey in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (it is white in IE). Well, on my Windows machine it is grey, on my Android phone/tablet and Mac it is white...

  I am using ffmpeg to encode the video. If I encode it as webm, the background is white.

  I found a hack that fixes it for Chrome :

  <video style="-webkit-filter:brightness(108.5%);"></video>code>

  But it does not work for Firefox or Safari.

  Another hack for Firefox :

  filter:brightness(1.085)

  But for some reason setting it through JavaScript does not work.

  A few versions ago the background was white for Chrome, then became grey again...

  The question is : Why is white grey ?

  Is it an issue with the video or with Chrome, Firefox, Safari in general ? (How can they not support white ?)

  Is it possible to get a white background ?

  Any hacks, workarounds ?
