  • FFMPEG thumb creation error

    I've installed FFMPEG and using FFMPEG Ultimate, a class I downloaded to create thumbnail images of FLV's.

    It has been working perfectly even after upgrading to the latest release of FFMPEG last month. However it has suddenly stopped working. I had it working at 12:00 today (last thumb created at 12:02) then suddenly 30 mins later it has stopped.

    The other strange thing is I can retrieve FLV meta data using the FFMPEG Ultimate class, which leads me to believe that FFMPEG is working, but creating images is not working...

    Can anyone give any pointers as to how to test and diagnose FFMPEG, also can it suddenly crash for no apparent reason ? If it does how do you re-start it ?

  • Android Screen mirroring via rtsp server

    I was trying to mirror my android phone’s screen to my PC. I actually did that thanks to ffplay and adb. But my question is how I can send it to an rtsp server. Do I need any additional stuff besides them ?

    What I can do :

    adb exec-out screenrecord --output-format=h264 - | ffplay -

    I completely didn’t understand how to send this output to an rtsp server and I don’t know if there is additional thing rather than rtsp I will be so appreciated if you help me. Thanks.

  • I need help converting a ffmpeg command to a gstreamer pipeline

    I am trying to convert a rtsp input stream to a mpegts stream using the command below

    


    ffmpeg -i rtsp://{{rtspUrl}} -f mpegts -codec:v mpeg1video -r 30 -


    


    I need to convert this ffmpeg command to a gstreamer pipeline which will do the same thing as the ffmpeg command, I am a noob with both ffmpeg and gstreamer. Thanks in advance for your help.

    


    I want to reduce the cpu consumption caused by ffmpeg and hence need to move onto gstreamer to be able to use hardware acceleration.
