• Softwares for adding real time text to a video [on hold]

  I am trying to add real time text (like weather information, stock quotes) to a video and broadcast it. My videos are going to be 2 hours long. I have been searching for decent softwares which can do the work for me. FFmpeg can do overlays only if text to be added is available fully before running ffmpeg code, so its not real time. I have not been able to able to get gstreamer to work on my hardware.

  So, My question is :
  Please suggest some softwares which can add (text)data to a video in real time.
  Please don't post comparisons as that will trigger moderator's anger ! I don't want to start a flame war. Purpose of the question is to make a list. Btw, this should work from command line rather than a GUI.

• Rotation Video Overlay Over Image producing some weird output with the FFMPEG KIT for android by arthenica / ffmpeg-kit

  I want to overlay some video on the image frame and rotate it and output it as the resultant video. However the command is running successfully but it is producing some weird output video with both the top and bottom portion with black layer, but however the rotation of the video over the image is successful but the top and bottom portion are getting black.

  


  Here is my command that i have used with the ffmpeg kit for android by arthenica/ffmpeg-kit.

  


  "-i " +inputImage+" -i "+inputVideo+" -filter_complex [1:v]format=rgba,rotate="+(float) Math.toDegrees(Double.parseDouble("-1.1073"))+"*(PI/180)[a] ;[0:v][a]overlay=252:103 "+ "-threads 5 -preset veryslow -q:v 3 "+resultVideo

• avconv streaming to local server

  I'm trying to stream my webcam and it's audio, but can't figure it out. I have managed to stream it successfully to bambuser.com using the following, but need to be able to view it locally. What am I doing wrong ?

  This successfully posts it to babuser :

  ffmpeg -v debug -f alsa -ac 1 -i hw:1,0 -acodec libmp3lame -itsoffset 00:00:00  
  
  -f video4linux2 -s 360x240 -i /dev/video0 -r 15 -f flv -ar 44100

  I've tried the following, but get "RTMP_Connect0, failed to connect socket. 111 (Connection refused)
  rtmp ://localhost:8090/ : Operation not permitted"

  How would I change this to be able to view it from localhost ?
