We don’t claim to be the only ones doing what we do ... and especially not to assert claims to be the best either ... What we do, we just try to do it well and getting better ...
The following list represents softwares that tend to be more or less as MediaSPIP or that MediaSPIP tries more or less to do the same, whatever ...
We don’t know them, we didn’t try them, but you can take a peek.

  • Join files based on duration - FFMpeg

    4 décembre 2019, par srt243

I have a folder with multiple mxf files in it and I want to join the files based on duration. For example, if the duration between 1st and 2nd file is more than 2 seconds, then do nothing, but if the duration is less than 2 seconds then join these two (1st and 2nd) files, then iterate through the list and if the duration between 2nd and 3rd file is less than 2 seconds, then join the 3rd file along with 1st and 2nd, but if the duration is more than 2 seconds then create a new file and proceed to 4th, 5th file, etc. in the list.

So far, I have managed to iterate through list and get the difference in the duration of the files but I have no idea how to iterate through this and join files. Below is the difference in duration list using the python code,

    ['00:00:06:17', '00:00:00:16', '00:00:01:05', '00:00:00:31', '00:00:01:01']

00:00:06:17 is the duration difference between end of 1st file and start of 2nd file.
00:00:00:16 is the duration difference between end of 2nd file and start of 3rd file.
00:00:01:05 is the duration difference between end of 3rd file and start of 4th file.

So in this case, we will have,

1st file on it’s own, and,
    Join 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th files.

Any pointers will be much appreciated.
