FFMPEG cannot encode .MP4 to usable .Y4M RAW video : "Operation not permitted"
26 janvier 2020, par Ham789I am running ffmpeg version 4.2.2 on macOS Sierra and I cannot decode a RAW video.
First I create the .Y4M video :
ffmpeg -y -i inputfolder/GH012088.MP4 temp_raw_video.Y4M
Then I try to input it to ffmpeg :
ffmpeg -i temp_raw_video.Y4M
However I get the following error in the terminal :
temp_raw_video.Y4M: Operation not permitted
I have checked the permissions for the ’temp_raw_video.Y4M’ file and I have both read and write permissions.
I have tried the above with .MOV videos from an iPhone and it works fine.
The problem seems to be with the .MP4 videos I am trying to convert. These videos were taken with a GoPro camera.
What is going on here ? Please see the GH012088.MP4 file info below :

"Pixel format 'yuvj420p' is not supported" when converting image to video using CUDA hardware acceleration
11 février 2020, par laurentI’m trying to convert an image to a video using CUDA hardware acceleration but I can’t get it to work.
The basic command I have is this one :
ffmpeg -y -hwaccel cuvid -i tests/MediaSamples/portrait_0.jpg -t 10 out.mp4
And I’m getting this error :
[AVHWFramesContext @ 0x32d3f00] Pixel format 'yuvj420p' is not supported
[mjpeg @ 0x2d18480] Error initializing a CUDA frame pool
cuvid hwaccel requested for input stream #0:0, but cannot be initialized.
Error while decoding stream #0:0: Invalid argumentI’ve tried setting the pixel format like so, but that didn’t help :
ffmpeg -y -hwaccel cuvid -pix_fmt yuv420p -i tests/MediaSamples/portrait_0.jpg -t 10 out.mp4
I’ve also tried many other flags but can’t get anything to work. Any idea what the issue might be ?

Discord.js Music bot "TypeError" when playing audio with dispatcher
21 février 2020, par Cole PerryI’m new to Discord.js and I’m trying to have the bot join a voice channel and play an audio file on my computer. I have been following this guide : https://discord.js.org/#/docs/main/stable/topics/voice . Here is the Index.js page :
Colesbot.on('message', message=>{
if (message.content === '/join') {
// Only try to join the sender's voice channel if they are in one themselves
if (message.member.voiceChannel) {
message.member.voiceChannel.join().then(connection => {
message.reply('I have successfully connected to the channel!');
// To play a file, we need to give an absolute path to it
const dispatcher = connection.playFile('C:\Users\bobal\Documents\GitHub\Spotify-Playlist-Discord-bot\Assets\Glory.mp3');
dispatcher.on('end', () => {
// The song has finished
console.log('Finished playing!');
});
dispatcher.on('error', e => {
// Catch any errors that may arise
console.log(e);
});
dispatcher.setVolume(0.5); // Set the volume to 50%
}).catch(console.log);
} else {
message.reply('You need to join a voice channel first!');
}
}
});
exports.run = (client, message, args) => {
let user = message.mentions.users.first || message.author;
}FFMPEG is installed and I have set the environment path for it. When I type FFMPEG in the command line I get the proper response.
Some have said I need to install the ffmpeg binaries but when I run npm install ffmpeg-binaries I get an error message that is here
So then I tried installing an older version and I’m now using ffmpeg-binaries@3.2.2-3 but when I type /join I get the error
[ERR_INVALID_ARG_TYPE]: The "file" argument must be of type string. Received type object
