  • How to add a scrolling text of the audio file song name on a sepecific part of a video and stream it to youtube using ffmpeg

5 novembre 2022, par Youssef Lasheen

I know this is s very long and specific question but it can be broken down to these points :

    • How to add a text of song name on video
    •

    • How to scroll in a specific area not from the beginning of the video to the end
    •

    • How to stream a looping video and loop through multiple audio files to youtube/twitch.
    •

I kinda got the third point but i think its not an elegant solution

    ffmpeg -re -stream_loop -1 -i back.gif -safe 0 -i mylist.txt -c copy -map 0:v:0 -map 1:a:0 -c:v libx264 -preset veryfast -b:v 3000k -maxrate 3000k \ -bufsize 6000k -pix_fmt yuv420p -g 50 -c:a aac -b:a 160k -ac 2 \ -ar 44100  -f flv rtmp://live.twitch.tv/app/$key

I also found this script that adds a scrolling image (input.jpg) to specific aree of a video but i coudlnt integrate it with the script above

    ffmpeg -y -ignore_loop 0 -r 25 -i back.gif -loop 1 -r 25 -i input.jpg -filter_complex "[0:v]crop=270:257:360:55[c0];[c0][1:v]overlay=y='257-t*257*0.04':eof_action=endall[fg];[0:v][fg]overlay=x=360:y=55:eof_action=endall" -t 50 output.mp4

  • FFMPEG/NVDEC Fails When Under 7 Frames

13 août 2021, par Meme Machine

I was looking the examples from NVIDIA's repository, specifically their Encoding and Decoding projects. I downloaded the desktop duplication project, which allows you to capture a certain number of frames from the desktop as raw h264. I also got AppDecode, which decodes and displays frames from an input file. I noticed that if I try and capture only a single frame, it fails to decode the input file.

    Here is the output

I started from 10 frames and counted down to 6 where it eventually failed. It is important for me to know why this happens, because I plan to implement this decoder into my project, and will be feeding it single frames from a stream.

Oh, and also I noticed the coded size is 1088 by 1920 instead of 1080 according to the output log. Not sure why that is occurring or if it is relevant

  • HTML5 icecast stream and pausing stream to add advert

    2 avril 2019, par RussellHarrower

So I have not found a good solution to add audio advertising to our radio station for users who are not in the stations main area (western Australia).

So I was wondering is there away that anyone knows of, that would allow a code be it ffmpeg or java/JavaScript to listen for the song that is currently playing (it maybe delayed by 30seconds) and after the song ends start an audio ad from a mongodb database.

I know how to do the mongodb database part.

What I need to figure out is how to detect that the song is finishing or other option is to store the stations adverts in the db as raw data or even better we could air a 0.1sec file that is just blank and that filename tells the script to lower audio player ones volume and boost audio two volume.

When station ads end we play another filename with same length and reverse the process.

Ok sorry if that’s me thinking out loud but if you have any ideas that would be great.

The only issue with above is TuneIn app won’t work with an IFrame we need to supply them an audio url.

So if anyone know how to do this in ffmpeg and only require 1 url which can detect users location that be better solution.

All ideas welcomed and yes I googled and Bing searched however I don’t have 30,000$ for hardware companies are selling. There has to be an open source solution.
