    MediaSPIP Core fournit par défaut trois pages différentes de configuration (ces pages utilisent le plugin de configuration CFG pour fonctionner) : une page spécifique à la configuration générale du squelettes ; une page spécifique à la configuration de la page d’accueil du site ; une page spécifique à la configuration des secteurs ;

    Pour moi et dans le cadre de spip.net, oui.

    Maintenant, le plan est simple, il faut modifier tous les squelettes de prive/objets/liste ainsi que prive/contenu/auteur.html pour conditionner l’affichage de la colonne email dans les lites, et la ligne email dans la fiche auteur en fonction de la valeur d’une constante dont il faut définir le nom. Ensuite, si la majorité pense que cela doit-être appliqué par défaut, il suffit d’inverser le teste et zou :)

    my site is going to be hosting a lot of videos. I'm using FFMPEG for all video functions. My current video upload plan is as follows :

    -get input video
    - make video thumbnail
    - if its mp4/flv, convert it to ogv (for opera support)
    - if its not mp4/flv, convert it to mp4 and also convert the original to ogv

    (the file conversions are running in the background)

    I'm using jwPlayer 6 for all videos currently. What can I do to maximize cross-browser and cross-platform support ? iOS won't run flv because it can't run flash, so is it worth it to just convert every file to MP4 ? And what about HTML5 video ? Should I consider HTML5 as my primary player and jwPlayer my fallback ?

  • MEAN stack express.js video uploader/converter

    The idea is a social site where people can upload their videos. I am planning to use multer for uploading (limiting by size and by mimetype). Then for performance and mostly storage purposes to use fluent-ffmpeg and convert it to mp4 format and store it somewhere on the server with a reference in mongodb. Since I do not want the user to wait while the whole process is done, I plan to separate it into to main parts :

    1. Uploading
    2. Converting and storing.

    Where the user uploads the file and then some separate node process ( using node-schedule) which run checks every 1 min. or so to convert all files in the directory and after that adds the references to mongodb. So what do you guys think ? What is the best approach performance-wise ?
