  • FFMPEG - Extract sequence while recording

    I have a ffmpeg process to record a webcam, thats very classic...
    I would like to extract a sequence from the recording file before the end of the record.

    example :
    - my recording start at 10:00 am and finish at 11:00 am
    - at 10:15 am, an event append, and an operator need to watch it quickly,
    - i would like to extract the sequence, and than he can watch at 10:20 am (but the video still recording and the Mp4.file not ended).

    is that possible ?

  • Possible to stream a given window online with FFmpeg ?

    Is it possible to use FFmpeg to broadcast a given window title online, so someone else could watch it in real-time ? If possible I would not like to use any website like twitch, or youtube, I'm trying something like you input the IP and port and can watch the window stream.

    


    What I tried :

    


    ffmpeg -f gdigrab -i desktop -vcodec libx264 -r 10 -tune zerolatency -b:v 500k -bufsize 300k -f rtp udp://??


    


    But I'm not sure how to correctly use the IP/Port and if this code is really for the purpose I'm looking for.

    


    (I'm completely new to FFmpeg/recording/streaming and don't know the right terms to use, so sorry for any mistakes.)

    I am developing application to save any online webinar(video or audio) given the url using ffmpeg library. Url usually contain other contents like text, images as well. So i have problem, how to separately get video stream from url using ffmpeg(or some other better free library). Url may be for any site, not only for youtube, but as an example, link may be like
