x264 with multiple passes specify location of temporary file ?
16 août 2012, par Richard KnopSo, my situation is like this. I have three x264 commands with 3 passes I want to run in parallel :
x264 -p 1 ...
x264 -p 1 ...
x264 -p 1 ...Then I want to run the second pass in parallel :
x264 -p 2 ...
x264 -p 2 ...
x264 -p 2 ...And the third pass as well.
The problem is, because I am running three x264 commands with -p option at the same time (using multiprocessing), they are all trying to use the same temporary files to save the results of the first/second pass.
Is there a way to specify for each x264 command to use a different temporary file ?

ffmpeg : Combine/merge multiple mp4 videos - not working
9 juin 2016, par dtbakerHere is the command I am using to combine multiple videos :
ffmpeg -i 75_540_38HQ2.mp4 -i 76_70_20.mp4 -i 76_173_80.mp4 -i 81_186_35.mp4 -vcodec copy -acodec copy Mux1.mp4
The resulting
Mux1.mp4
does not contain all videos. Only the first video (75_540_38HQ2.mp4
). The file size of the source and resulting video is below (as you can see, resulting video is slightly larger than first vid) :$ ls -lh
rw-r—r— 1 dbaker dbaker 42M 2011-03-24 11:59 75_540_38HQ2.mp4

ffmpeg
command. The source videos came from a video camera, and are small snippets taken with
ffmpeg -i bigfile.mp4 -ss 20 -t 10 -vcodec copy etc..
Thanks heaps !!

Edit : couldn’t solve it so I just use avidemux GUI tool. It seemed to append the MP4’s just fine.
Must be a problem with MP4’s or just the ones that come off a gopro camera.

ffmpeg transcoding reset the start time of file
12 août 2013, par diouskI use a segmenter to segment my MPEG 2 Ts file into a series of media segment for HTTP live streaming
and each segment's start time following the previous one
(ex:start time of segments : 00:00,00:10,00:20,00:30,...)(In Ubuntu)
The Question is :
When I use ffmpeg to transcode one of the media segment (ex 800k bps to 200k bps)
the start time of transcoded media segment will be reset to 0
ex:As I transcode the third segement,
start time of segments changing to : 00:00,00:10,00:00,00:30,...
It cause my player freezing once play the transcoded media segment
Is there any solution to transcode media file with the same start time ?
I guess it's the ffmpeg reset the PTS(presentation timestamp) of segment
But I don't know how to fix it...
here is my ffmpeg command (transcode to 250k bps)
============================
