• libavcodec/libx264 isn't respecting keyint_min

  Using libavcodec 57.107.100, I have some code to encode frames into H.264 and I’m working on tweaking the settings to prep resulting videos to be streamed with DASH, which requires consistent keyframe timings. So I’m setting the GOP to 4x the framerate and setting the keyint_min to the same as the GOP so that I can guarantee that the keyframe interval lines up with the 4 second segment boundaries.

  I’m using the following code to build the AVCodec and AVCodecContext :

  Clearly, the keyint_min is 100 here, yet when I execute my program, the stderr output from libavcodec says this when the encoding starts :

  For emphasis, in the third line of that blurb, the encoder says keyint=100 keyint_min=51. So obviously my GOP is being set correctly at 100, but the keyint_min is not being respected. Since the FFMPEG docs are pretty difficult to approach, I haven’t been able to find an answer to this. Does anyone know what I’m missing ?

• Bad conversion video from yuv to rgb using ffmpeg

  I'm trying to convert a video from YUV to RGB. I'm using ffmpeg for this with the following command line

  


  ffmpeg -y input.mp4 -c:v libx264rgb output.mp4


  


  Unfortunately the output seems somehow corrupted. See example input/output images below. I'm also pasting here the output of mediainfo for both videos. Many thanks in advance for your advices.

• Laravel FFMpeg encoding failed [on hold]

  I’m using Laravel FFMpeg to encode videos and create thumbnails, but none of them are working. Whenever I try to create a thumbnail or encode a video I get following error :

  I have checked permissions and everything looks ok. I have also checked the video I’m trying to encode exists. It does, and apparently it get properly loaded. It seems to fail when trying to save encoded file.
  I spent one day doing research, I tried with different audio & video encoding, different routes and filesystems, but I couldn’t make it work.
  I have also tried to check that passlogfile (/tmp/ffmpeg-passes5c6377a214b41rk6ao/pass-5c6377a214b7b) but as it gets stored under /tmp I can’t gain access to it.

  This is the code I’m using to encode videos in my controller :

  I have debugged that piece of code and video seems to get loaded properly. It crashes when tries to save the final video, in last lane of code.
