• Why does my script return 0 when it fails ? Bash, Whisper, ffmpeg

  I have a bash script that executes whisper on all sound files in a directory. Whisper uses ffmpeg to decode sound files to a format it can handle. One of the files in the directory was corrupt and caused ffmpeg to fail. The first time I executed my script it returned 1 when it hit that file but when I try to reproduce the error it always returns 0.

  When I try to reproduce the behaviour I have both tried to execute the script as well as just running the actual line of code from the command prompt. The actual script looks like this :

• Libvpx unknown encoder with php exec

  I have centos7 with ffmpeg compiled with libvpx. I can run

  ffmpeg -i gif.gif -c:v libvpx -crf 12 -b:v 500K webm.webm

  which works perfectly but when I try the same command with php exec() it returns this :

  What am I missing ?

• FFMPEG 'Invalid data found when processing input' while scaling an Image

  I just installed FFMPEG on a server and I am testing it to see if it works. I am new to this, so I don’t know if I’m doing it correctly. I want to scale and compress an image. I am doing it by following php code -

  Am I doing it incorrectly or what ? Because it does work with some images and for some it doesn’t ! Also, is this the correct way to scale and compress an Image using FFMPEG, would love to get some insights.
