    I know how to add subtitles to video using :

    ffmpeg -i infile.mp4 -i infile.srt -c copy -c:s mov_text outfile.mp4

    But it doesn’t autostart with the video, I have to right click and select the subtitles and I would also like to know the command to add subtitles language because when I add and select subtitles, it shows as track 1 or track 2 etc but I would like it shows which language the subtitle is like English, Hindi, Malayalam etc.

  • using PHP shell_exec and ffmpeg to merge 2 audio files

    I am working on a php script that will blend two audio files into one using ffmpeg’s amix feature and $ variables. It is set to automatically trim the final output’s duration to the first inputs duration. (as seen with duration=first)

    When I run this script it is not creating mixtest.mp3

    mix.php :

    I am already using ffmpeg on server to convert wav’s to mp3 and it works great. I have also seen sox can do this as well with -m, which I have installed and tried, for some reason it is not exporting the mixtest.mp3.

    This question already has an answer here :

    I want to render audio from multiple .wav files on an .mp4 file so the out put will be the original video and sound with the audio of the .wav files on top of it.

    I’ve read many similar threads in Stackoverflow and nothing worked for me.
    This is my latest attempt :
    ffmpeg -i original.mp4 -itsoffset 3 -i additional1.wav -itsoffset 5 -i additional2.wav -c:v copy -map 0:v -map 0:a -map 1:a -map 2:a output.mp4

    But it doesn’t work
