Buid Exoplayer with ffmpeg extension
22 février 2021, par Bhoomi KalavadiyaI'm making IP streaming android application. In which I'm using exoplayer 2.12.0. Input video is having mpeg-L2 audio layer codec which is not supported by exoplayer https://github.com/google/ExoPlayer/issues/6525. So i'm using ffmpeg extension to render audio.

I have followed https://github.com/google/ExoPlayer/tree/release-v2/extensions/ffmpeg steps to build ffmpeg extension with android-ndk-r21d-linux-x86_64 and FFmpeg-release-4.3.

Added code in the application

TrackSelector trackSelectors = new DefaultTrackSelector(new AdaptiveTrackSelection.Factory()); RenderersFactory renderersFactory=new DefaultRenderersFactory(this,EXTENSION_RENDERER_MODE_ON,DEFAULT_ALLOWED_VIDEO_JOINING_TIME_MS); player = ExoPlayerFactory.newSimpleInstance(this, renderersFactory,trackSelectors);

Still audio is not coming and the log is as below

Here, With or without ffmpeg extension, I'm not getting audioEnabled log in Eventlogger.
Also after using ffmpeg audio render, I'm not getting it is being used or not.
Or am I missing some configuration of ffmpeg extension to Exoplayer ?

Restoring corrupted video after recovery
22 août 2019, par Harold.DemureI have recently recovered the content of an old drive of mine using photorec.
To my surprise, photorec recovered a lot of files with non-video extensions (.sqlite, .apple, .pdf, .torrent...) that contain fragments of video. I can see these fragments only using mplayer/mencoder (quicktime and vlc cannot). Some of the files are even hundreds of megabyte large, but mplayer only shows me a few seconds of the video.
Is there any script/data carving tool that I can use to see if I can recover more video fragments from these files ? I am not afraid of trying solutions that require some coding or manual inspection (e.g., search for headers via hex editors).
Thank you for your help, any suggestion is highly appreciated.

How to compress webcam videos recorded by html5 MediaRecorder api ?
25 mai 2017, par JasonYI successfully recorded my webcam using MediaRecorder api and the resulting filesizes seemed far too big for their quality.
For example, for an 8 second video that was 480x640 I got a 1mB file size. That does not seem right.
My code to record()
navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia({video: true, audio: true})
.then(function(stream){
var options = {
mimeType : "video/webm;codecs=vp9"
//I don't set bitrate here even if I do the quality is too bad
}
var media_recorder = new MediaRecorder(media_stream, options);
var recorded_data = [];
media_recorder.ondataavailable = function(e){
recorded_data.push(e.data);
}
media_recorder.onstop = function(e){
recorded_data.push(e.data);
var recorded_blob = new Blob(recorded_data, { 'type' : 'video/webm; codecs=vp9' });
var recorded_video_url = window.URL.createObjectURL(recorded_blob);
//here I write some code to download the blob from this url through a href
}
})The file obtained by this method is unreasonably large which makes me wonder if it was even compressed when encoded by VP9 ? A 7 second video is about 870kB !
Inspecting the file with a mediainfo tool gives me
