• Extract individual frames as a buffer from a video

  I'm trying to process a video using tensorflow in node.js (i.e. on the server - I don't have a web page). I need to process each frame in the video individually. I see some people are using ffmpeg to generate individual image files from the video but that seems wasteful as it creates files on the filesystem. I would prefer to grab each frame as a base64 string in memory. I've got this working using OpenCV4Node but am wondering if there are any lighter weight solutions. Is anyone already doing this ? Any help would be appreciated :-)

  I’ve been trying to use a video as a webcam for quite a while now. The command

  gst-launch-1.0 filesrc location=newflag.webm ! decodebin ! videoconvert ! v4l2sink device=/dev/video0

  Using this command, i’m able to watch the stream using VLC but Discord and Firefox display a black screen when using /dev/video0 as a webcam.

  I got it working using ffmpeg to stream the video in yuv420p so I suspect videoconvert converts the stream to YUY2 which is I guess not supported by Discord nor Firefox.

  Any idea on how to get this to work ?

• Xcode shows error when trying to use FFMpeg

  I try to use FFMpeg in my iOS project. It’s weird when I import libavcodec/avcodec.h and
  libavformat/avformat.h, Xcode show error : " ’TestViewController’ cannot use ’super’ because it is a root class ".

  Everything is OK before I import the two file above and even I comment these two line codes, it shows this error still. And one more thing, Xcode cannot autocomplete to NSLog when I type nsl.

  Codes can run without any problem, but when writing codes it show those annoying error messages.
