FFMPEG:merging Image and Audio duration getting increased [migrated]
21 juin 2016, par Saikat DeyI am trying to create a video using a still image(.png) with audio(.wav) file using FFMPEG with video duration equal to audio duration but even keeping ’-shortest’ & ’-loop 1’ as flag, pegstill video duration is always 2 seconds more than audio duration.
This is causing problem because, after the video creation i am merging several videos together to create a final video. Now what is happening is that in that 2 seconds extra time, the next video’s audio comes which is causing video-audio unsync. Even if I delay the audio stream, there is a blank sound while transition from one video to another.
So i wanted to ask why there is extra 2 seconds and how can i remove it.
My ffmpeg command :ffmpeg -loop 1 -i imgPath -i audioPath -c:v libx264 -c:a aac -strict experimental -pix_fmt yuv420p -vf resolution -b:a 192k -shortest videoPath

Video and audio stretch calculations in ffmpeg
30 janvier 2017, par garrettlynchI’m doing some extreme slow motion in ffmpeg on a video, both video and audio track, but can’t quite get my calculations correct.
The input video is 00:06:41:00 at 24fps (9624 frames).
I need the output video to be 34:00:00:00 at 24fps (2937600 frames).I tried these for the video and audio :
setpts=305.237*PTS
atempo=0.5, atempo=0.5, atempo=0.5, atempo=0.5, atempo=0.5, atempo=0.5, atempo=0.5, atempo=0.5, atempo=0.807668329177057However the video overshoots by 00:01:19:08 and the audio I’m unsure, on one player it stops somewhere around 8 hours but on another it just continues. What are the correct formulas ?
Also on VLC the video has grey frames between video frames - do I need to interpolate to have continuous video frames ?

ffmpeg : Convertion to mkv with compatibility with Samsung BluRay
25 octobre 2018, par YehorI have several videos (FullHD resolution) which I want to convert to mkv format and play on my Samsung BluRay Player (model BD-J5900).
Based on User Manual (http://media.datatail.com/docs/manual/252846_en.pdf , page 6) it supports mkv playing if codecs are :- Video : H.264 BP/MP/HP
- Audio : MP3
Thus, based on https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.html the command to convert it into proper format is :
ffmpeg -i input.avi -f matroska -vcodec libx264 -acodec mp3 output.mkv
It converts, but file is not playable on player. It say "Video format is not supported".
After checking info here : https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Encode/H.264 - I thought it may require some compatibility and change the command to :
ffmpeg -i input.avi -f matroska -vcodec libx264 -profile:v baseline -level 3.0 -acodec mp3 output.mkv
But it also didn’t help - player demonstrates the same error.
How to fix that ?
