  • Image sequence to video stream ?

    22 août 2015, par Hauns TM

    Like many people already seem to have (there are several threads on this subject here) I am looking for ways to create video from a sequence of images.

    I want to implement my functionality in C# !

    Here is what I wan’t to do :

    /*Pseudo code*/
    void CreateVideo(List<image> imageSequence, long durationOfEachImageMs, string outputVideoFileName, string outputFormat)
    {
       // Info: imageSequence.Count will be > 30 000 images
       // Info: durationOfEachImageMs will be &lt; 300 ms

       if (outputFormat = "mpeg")
       {
       }
       else if (outputFormat = "avi")
       {
       }
       else
       {
       }

       //Save video file do disk
    }
    </image>

    I know there’s a project called Splicer (http://splicer.codeplex.com/) but I can’t find suitable documentation or clear examples that I can follow (these are the examples that I found).

    The closest I want to do, which I find here on CodePlex is this :
    How can I create a video from a directory of images in C# ?

    I have also read a few threads about ffmpeg (for example this : C# and FFmpeg preferably without shell commands ? and this : convert image sequence using ffmpeg) but I find no one to help me with my problem and I don’t think ffmpeg-command-line-style is the best solution for me (because of the amount of images).

    I believe that I can use the Splicer-project in some way (?).

    In my case, it is about about > 30 000 images where each image should be displayed for about 200 ms (in the videostream that I want to create).

    (What the video is about ? Plants growing ...)

    Can anyone help me complete my function ?

  • add video stream to video file using FFmpeg

    9 septembre 2013, par petre

    I am recording avi stream from webcam by using code below :

    ffmpeg -f video4linux2 -i /dev/video0 -c:v libx264 -r 5 -s 320x240 -vf format=gray -y /home/aydu/Desktop/SEC_REC/ffmpeg/cam0.avi -r 0.5 -vf format=gray -f image2 -updatefirst 1 /home/aydu/Desktop/SEC_REC/ffmpeg/image.jpeg

    What i want is to add new stream if cam0.avi exists. Now, my code is overwriting cam0.avi.

  • azap from LinuxTV dvb-apps strange signal behavior with Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950Q [migrated]

    27 février 2012, par mmoment

    What I want to do

    I have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950Q USB-TV-Stick. I want to use this stick to successively tune to and read in a certain live TV stream.

    What I do

    I trigger a scan and save the scan results in a file. I call it channels.conf, like the v4l documentary proposes.

    scan /home/username/Documents/dvb/atsc/us-CA-SF-Bay-Area > /home/username/Documents/dvb/atsc/conf/home_channels.conf

    Everything works fine, the scan returns something like this(A correct channel file) :

    [0003]:503000000:8VSB:49:52:3
    [0005]:503000000:8VSB:81:84:5

    Then I tune to a channel from the scan results. KIDS for example :

    azap -r -c Documents/dvb/atsc/conf/channels.conf KIDS

    What I expect the program to do :

    I expect the program to be tuned and to deliver results similar to this :

    username@username:~$ azap -r -c Documents/dvb/atsc/conf/channels.conf KIDS
    using &#39;/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0&#39; and &#39;/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0&#39;
    tuning to 689000000 Hz
    video pid 0x0061, audio pid 0x0064

    In 2 out of 5 tries the azap just doesn't work at all.

    using &#39;/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0&#39; and &#39;/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0&#39;

    The rest of the time it generally works initially, then switches the status to 00 and can not be used any more, even if there is incoming signal.

    The output even shows that there is high signal to noise ratio, low or rather no block errors or uncorrected errors at all at first, then it
    This keeps me wondering since I see no reason for the program to switch. After double checking with a real TV I am very sure that I always have an incoming signal and that there should not be any reasons for a behavior like this.

    Question

    Can any of you guys see a reason for this behavior, could it be a problem with the Hardware that I'm using or rather a Software issue ? Did anybody experience the same issues, how did you fix it ? Any help is greatly appreciated !
