Other interesting software
13 avril 2011, parWe don’t claim to be the only ones doing what we do ... and especially not to assert claims to be the best either ... What we do, we just try to do it well and getting better ...
The following list represents softwares that tend to be more or less as MediaSPIP or that MediaSPIP tries more or less to do the same, whatever ...
We don’t know them, we didn’t try them, but you can take a peek.

FFMPEG Kit issue in Banuba Video SDK : "FFmpegKit failed to start on brand"
10 mai 2023, par Vivek MakwanaI am trying to integrate Banuba Video Editor sdk in flutter.

The issue i am facing is as below

Banuba sdk works with native code for Android in Flutter

So Banuba requires FFMPEG dependency to define in Native Android

And I am already using 'ffmpeg_kit_flutter' plugin for flutter.

So both the FFMPEG kits are conflicted and some of the functions are not found. due to that I am receiving the below error.

When the app is launched I am receiving this Crash as mentioned

**java.lang.Error: FFmpegKit failed to start on brand: google, model: sdk_gphone_x86, device: generic_x86_arm, api level: 30, abis: x86 armeabi-v7a armeabi, 32bit abis: x86 armeabi-v7a armeabi, 64bit abis: .

How to execute docker in cloud (ffmpeg, docker)
8 octobre 2022, par M.K. KimI want to execute a dockerized python cli that transcodes a video file in cloud.
Locally it works fine but I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to best implement this in cloud. Below is the dockerfile and how docker is run. As you see it takes two arguments(input/output file path)

//Dockerfile

FROM alpine:3.12

# Install requirements
RUN apk add python3 && \
 apk add py3-pip && \
 pip3 install --upgrade pip && \
 apk add ffmpeg

# Install dependency
RUN pip3 install dependency1

# Create work directory and run container as user
RUN addgroup -S app && adduser -S app -G app
RUN mkdir /app && chown app:app /app
WORKDIR /app
USER app

# Use my-app as entrypoint (allows passing arguments)
ENTRYPOINT ["/usr/bin/my-app"]

docker build . -t my-app:latest
docker run --rm -it -v $PWD:/app my-app:latest inputfile.mp4 outputfile.mp4

Locally it works. But I want to build a front-end where I can upload a video file in cloud storage (S3, Google Cloud Storage, etc) and I want the output file to be either uploaded into cloud storage or downloaded from the browser.

what would be the best approach in this case ? using this docker image as a layer to lambda function would be a good approach ? I'm not sure how to pass arguments (path of input output file) in cloud

Discord.py bot randomly disconnects and reconnects while playing audio and being hosted on google cloud VM
15 avril 2021, par RadushI recently made a music bot in Python and I've hosted it from my computer for a while for testing.

When I run it on my computer it works flawlessly, however, when I run it from Google Cloud Compute Engine, I get random hiccups in which the bot leaves and rejoins the voice channel for a brief second every few minutes while playing audio. Sometimes it stops playing the audio entirely and sometimes it does its job like normal.

I tried upgrading the CPU and RAM of the VM. Current specs :

Machine type :
e2-standard-4 (4 vCPUs, 16 GB memory)

I'm running the script within "screen" so I don't have to interact with the VM in any way, so this may be an issue.
