    Comme les documents de type "audio", Mediaspip affiche dans la mesure du possible les vidéos grâce à la balise html5 .
    Un des inconvénients de cette balise est qu’elle n’est pas reconnue correctement par certains navigateurs (Internet Explorer pour ne pas le nommer) et que chaque navigateur ne gère en natif que certains formats de vidéos.
    Son avantage principal quant à lui est de bénéficier de la prise en charge native de vidéos dans les navigateur et donc de se passer de l’utilisation de Flash et (...)

    MediaSPIP uses HTML5 video and audio tags to play multimedia files, taking advantage of the latest W3C innovations supported by modern browsers.
    The MediaSPIP player used has been created specifically for MediaSPIP and can be easily adapted to fit in with a specific theme.

  • ffmpeg Convert mp4 to m3u8 stream file is very slow

    I use the ffmpeg to convert mp4 video to the m3u8 steam file, which is visible in the following code :

    ffmpeg -i $filename -bsf:v h264_mp4toannexb -strict -2 -flags -global_header -hls_list_size 0 chunk.m3u8"

    But my problem is, I do not know when to turn that converting process on the server ? You suppose the user uploads a file of 60 MB and will have to wait for this 60 MB to be converted to 3m8u during the upload. It takes a lot of time (at least 40 minutes). And the server gives the error 504 Gateway error because the conversion time is too long.

    Do you have a reasonable and correct way of doing this ?
    Did I do that right ? Or should we use a better method to stream ?

  • Applescript to batch convert videos with ffmpeg

    I'm trying to add padding to a large amount of videos in their folders. I created an app with AppleScriptEditor so I can drag and drop files and they're automatically converted. I found a script on the web, I edited it with the ffmpeg command I need, but it won't work because it wants to overwrite the source file.

    Note that I want to keep the filename, filetype and put the new file next to the old one but just add an underscore at the end of the new file, before the extension ; e.g. : file.ext. > file_.ext

    


  • What does "dash" - mean as ffmpeg output filename

    I'm trying to use ffmpeg with gnuplot to draw some audio spectra, I'm following this ffmpeg doc link.

    


    Now I'm asking what "dash" - means on this line right after -f data, it should be a filename : the last element of ffmpeg command should the output file but I have no files named - in the directory after running the command.

    


    ffmpeg -y -i in.wav -ac 1 -filter:a aresample=8000 -map 0:a -c:a pcm_s16le -f data - | gnuplot -p -e "plot 'code>

    


    I looked on ffmpeg docs but I didn't find anything.
