  • Automated installation script of MediaSPIP

    25 avril 2011, par

To overcome the difficulties mainly due to the installation of server side software dependencies, an "all-in-one" installation script written in bash was created to facilitate this step on a server with a compatible Linux distribution.
You must have access to your server via SSH and a root account to use it, which will install the dependencies. Contact your provider if you do not have that.
The documentation of the use of this installation script is available here.

  • ffmpeg deocde without producing output file

2 décembre 2013, par Xin He

I want to use ffmpeg to decode a h264 file.

Since I just want to measure the decoding time, the output file creation will spend a lot of time and time measurement will be not so accurate.

So could anyone help to solve this problem ?

    I use "ffmpeg -i blue_sky.h264 output.yuv "to decode.

    Thanks in advance !

  • Extract audio stream of a .ts file onto a different format

    7 juin 2019, par Skyleft

I have a .ts audio file and I want to convert it to a .wav file without losing quality.

This is what I have tried :

    ffmpeg -i audio.ts -vn -acodec copy audio.wav

This does return a .wav file, but I’m not sure if what I’m doing is optimal or if there’s anything I can do to end up with a file of better quality. Unfortunately there are many formats such as .aac that I can’t work with.

Lastly, although this returns a .wav file, it is pretty buggy. It won’t play with the windows player, and the only way to listen to it will be by dragging it onto a browser. If I try to advance the audio it will cut off immediately, and it will also not replay unless I refresh the page.
I’m assuming these problems have to do with the way I’m converting it, but I don’t know how to avoid them.

    Thank you.

  • Finding audio peaks in video files

23 octobre 2013, par Adam Langsner

I have a bunch of video files that I want to process. I want to write a program that can find the audio peaks in each file and return the times where those peaks occurred.

I've looked for a lot of different APIs in different languages but couldn't get any of them to work. I am partial to php and java, so if anyone knows any good audio processing libraries in those languages that would be great ! But really I don't care too much about the language. I will need to run this program on a cron.

Also, is it possible to use system calls to ffmpeg from within a script to accomplish this ? Thanks in advance.
