  • gdb not stopping at even trivial breakpoints

    18 novembre 2015, par baruch

I am trying to debug ffplay (a debug build) compiled using mingw-w64 on msys2 on Windows 7 64bit. I tried setting breakpoints using gdb, and they seem to be set fine, but the program does not stop. So i tried issuing start, and again it didn’t stop. I tried manually setting a breakpoint at main, but it still didn’t stop. I verified that main is found, and it is. Here is a portion of the session. Any explanation what might cause this ?

  • Frame rate very high for a muxer not efficiently supporting it

    23 avril 2014, par DevDave

I got an error when trying to run the following command with FFMpeg :

    -i "file1.mp4" -s 506x406 -b:v 2000k -ar 22050 "file2.mp4"

FFMpeg was stuck converting this video, which was just a 7Mb .mp4 file, for hours and eventually I had to kill the process.

The output error from FFMpeg is as follows :

  • webm to mp4 conversion using ffmpeg

    2 décembre 2015, par Pavan K

When I try to convert a webm file to mp4 the output is very very choppy and it appears as if many frames have been dropped by ffmpeg

I used the following commands to convert

    ffmpeg -i movie.webm movie.mp4
    ffmpeg -i movie.webm -vcodec libx264 movie.mp4
    ffmpeg -i movie.webm -vcodec libx264 -qscale 0 movie.mp4

All of them have the same problem. When I use ffprobe it seems to show the frames more or less properly.
