• FFmpeg compile opus error

  I’m following this tutorial to build FFmpeg statically (to not need DLLs) using Microsoft’s compilers : http://cristobaldobranco.github.io/blog/2015/01/20/compiling-ffmpeg-with-windows-tools/

  I’m however running into trouble when attempting to compile this :

  It seems to be able to find the header and library files, but I’m getting weird errors about opus :

  

  Here are my MSYS commands :

  cd C:/Libs/ffmpeg
  
  ./configure --toolchain=msvc --arch=x86 --prefix=build/ --disable-network
  
  make
  
  make install

  How do I get rid of these errors ?

  I've been looking for hours but can't find a simple answer to this question : is it legal/free to use ffmpeg to decode wma/mms stream in a commercial ios app ?

  the ffmpeg website clearly states there are legal issues http://www.ffmpeg.org/legal.html

  some people say issues relate to AAC and H264 Licensing questions

  I just need to know if I can use ffmpeg freely to read wma (mms) stream in an ios app, or if I need to pay royalties to Microsoft for that (quite expensive : http://wmlicense.smdisp.net/filePU/WM%20Components%20Final%20Product%20Agreement%20-%20SAMPLE%20%20(10-05-2012).pdf)

• Use ffmpeg to stream live content to azure media services

  I’ve been trying to stream content to azure media services using ffmpeg as it’s one of the options described here : http://azure.microsoft.com/blog/2014/09/18/azure-media-services-rtmp-support-and-live-encoders/

  My command is :

  ffmpeg -v verbose -i 300.mp4 -strict -2 -c:a aac -b:a 128k -ar 44100 -r 30 -g 60 -keyint_min 60 -b:v 400000 -c:v libx264 -preset medium -bufsize 400k -maxrate 400k -f flv rtmp://nessma-****.channel.mediaservices.windows.net:1935/live/584c99f5c47f424d9e83ac95364331e7

  I have made sure that the streaming endpoint has one active streaming unit, I also made sure that the channel is actually Ready and I even get it to start streaming (which makes a PublishURL available).

  When I execute the ffmpeg command to start streaming, I keep getting the following error :

  The Azure blog post clearly states that this should be possible but I can’t find a working example anywhere.
