Creating farms of unique websites
13 avril 2011, parMediaSPIP platforms can be installed as a farm, with a single "core" hosted on a dedicated server and used by multiple websites.
This allows (among other things) : implementation costs to be shared between several different projects / individuals rapid deployment of multiple unique sites creation of groups of like-minded sites, making it possible to browse media in a more controlled and selective environment than the major "open" (...) -

Burning subtitles different resolutions
3 mai 2018, par FacundoI’m trying to create a live stream with three quality profiles with different resolutions (SD, HD and FullHD). The live stream has subtitles, and I have to burn them for compatibility reasons.
I know how to do it with one profile, but with many no idea.
ffmpeg -nostdin -loglevel error -hwaccel cuvid -deint 2 -drop_second_field 1 -surfaces 15 -c:v h264_cuvid -resize 1280x720 -y -i udp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx?pkt_size=1316\&buffer_size=409600\&fifo_size=1000000\&overrun_nonfatal=1 -filter_complex [i:0x2c6]hwdownload,format=nv12[base];[i:0x993]setpts=(2.5)/TB+PTS[subs];[subs]scale=1280:720[subtitle];[base][subtitle]overlay[v];[v]hwupload_cuda[v] -map [v] -c:v hevc_nvenc -preset llhq -rc vbr_hq -cq 23 -qp 23 -tier high -profile:v main10 -level 4.0 -b:v 2000k -maxrate 2400k -bufsize 1000k -map i:0x2bd -c:a libfdk_aac -ac 2 -b:a 64k -map i:0x2be -c:a libfdk_aac -ac 2 -b:a 64k -metadata:s:a:0 language=eng -metadata:s:a:1 language=spa -f mpegts -mpegts_flags resend_headers+pat_pmt_at_frames -mpegts_copyts 1 -pcr_period 40 udp://yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy:yyyy?ttl=31\?pkt_size=1316\&buffer_size=409600\&fifo_size=1000000\&overrun_nonfatal=1
Apparenlty, Iffmpeg doen’t allow to use -vf filter with filter_complex.
I’m using ffmpeg 3.4, cuda 8.

avutil/hwcontext_vdpau : Map 444 pix fmts to new VdpYCbCr types
3 mai 2019, par ManojGuptaBondaavutil/hwcontext_vdpau : Map 444 pix fmts to new VdpYCbCr types
New VdpYCbCr Formats VDP_YCBCR_FORMAT_Y_U_V_444 and,
VDP_YCBCR_FORMAT_Y_UV_444 have been added in VDPAU with libvdpau-1.2
to be used in get/putbits for YUV 4:4:4 surfaces. Earlier mapping of
AV_PIX_FMT_YUV444P to VDP_YCBCR_FORMAT_YV12 is not valid.Hence this Change maps AV_PIX_FMT_YUV444P to VDP_YCBCR_FORMAT_Y_U_V_444
to access the YUV 4:4:4 surface via read-back API's of VDPAU. -
ffmpeg : HLS to mp4
5 juillet 2021, par KiranI have one m3u8 file with
ts
segments. I am trying to convert a part of it to mp4 using the below command.

ffmpeg -i playlist.m3u8 -ss 30 -t 120 -c copy -bsf:a aac_adtstoasc -flags +global_header -y output.mp4

I manually calculated where my segments are located and concatenated those to form output.ts. And then converted that to mp4 using the below commands.

ffmpeg -f concat -safe 0 -i <(for f in ./*.ts; do echo "file '$PWD/$f'"; done) -c copy output.ts
ffmpeg -i output.ts -c copy -bsf:a aac_adtstoasc -flags +global_header -y output.mp4

I found that the second approach is taking far lesser time compared to the first one, an order of 10s of seconds. Someone, please let me know whether the comparison makes any sense and why there is so much difference between the two.
