• Android camera stream with rtmp has stable 5 second latency

  I use ffmpeg with h264 build and javacv on android to stream video from camera to rtmp server.
  I was trying to set all possible video framerates and bitrates, set preset ultrafast, but I still have stable 5 seconds delay.
  If i use android mediarecorder sending mpegts stream with rtmp to server,i have only 2 seconds delay, and if I use -fflags nobuffer options on the client(ffmpeg), the video is appearing immediately.

  I don`t know how in android ffmpeg reduces this latency.

  I’m running into a very strange bug.

  I’ve tried adding sleep(5) after :

          exec($cmd, $out, $ret);

  to give the script time to move the moov atom to the front before uploading the local file to s3 and then deleting the local file, but it is not 100% reliable.

  Any ideas ?

• video creation using ffmpeg

  I am trying to create videos out of images which are numbered dddxxxxx using below command

  I :\ffmpeg\bin>ffmpeg -r 1 -start_number 24 -i ddd%05d.tif -i sample.mp3 -c:v lib
  x264 -preset medium -tune stillimage -vframes 5 -crf 18 -c:a copy -shortest -pix
  _fmt yuv420p a1.mp4

  It creates video starting from 24th picture and picks 5 photos and creates video but my problem is sound does not come. If I remove -vframe option it takes all images and sound does come.

  Please can someone let me know what is the problem ?
