  • Multilang : améliorer l’interface pour les blocs multilingues

    Multilang est un plugin supplémentaire qui n’est pas activé par défaut lors de l’initialisation de MediaSPIP.
    Après son activation, une préconfiguration est mise en place automatiquement par MediaSPIP init permettant à la nouvelle fonctionnalité d’être automatiquement opérationnelle. Il n’est donc pas obligatoire de passer par une étape de configuration pour cela.

    MediaSPIP 0.2 est la première version de MediaSPIP stable.
    Sa date de sortie officielle est le 21 juin 2013 et est annoncée ici.
    Le fichier zip ici présent contient uniquement les sources de MediaSPIP en version standalone.
    Comme pour la version précédente, il est nécessaire d’installer manuellement l’ensemble des dépendances logicielles sur le serveur.
    Si vous souhaitez utiliser cette archive pour une installation en mode ferme, il vous faudra également procéder à d’autres modifications (...)

  • FFmpeg — calculate zoompan filter duration

    I want to make 30 seconds video with smooth small zooming effect of an image. What i do :

    ffmpeg -y -loop 1 -i 1.png -vf "zoompan=z='min(max(zoom,pzoom)+0.0015,1.1)':d=1:x='iw/2-(iw/zoom/2)':y='ih/2-(ih/zoom/2)':s='1000x1000'" -c:v libx264 -t 30 1.mp4

    How to modify my ffmpeg zoompan params for zoom effect during 30 seconds (all video time) ? Now it produce 3 seconds effect at all. Docs says :

    d — Set the duration expression in number of frames. This sets for how many number of frames effect will last for single input image.

    But my experiments with d falied. Thanks !

  • ffmpeg image scroll based on size and zoom particular position

    Is it possible to create a video using FFMPEG where it should look like as if we are scrolling the page and zoomin particular location. I don’t have correct example but you can check this video http://avideos.5min.com//9/5193009/519300834_2.mp4 where the first google page scroll effect and along with that i need zoomin option as well.

    If i use the below code it just zoomin but i need scroll and zoomin (vise versa as well)

    ffmpeg -r 45 -i 1.png -vf "zoompan=z='min(zoom+0.0015,1.5)':d=335" -shortest  -pix_fmt yuv420p video1.mp4

  • FFMPEG on Heroku exceeds memory quota in testing

    After following this tutorial, and getting it to work locally on my own development environment, before really getting my hands dirty and working deeper on my own project implementation, I decided to push it up to Heroku to test in a staging environment.

    


    I had to have Heroku add the FFMPEG build-pack and turn on the Redis Server for ActionCable to work.

    


    I didn't link the staging to a cloud storage bucket on Google or Amazon yet, just allowed it to upload directly to the dymo disk for testing. So it would go into the storage directory as it would in development for now.

    


    the test MOV file is 186 MB in size.

    


    The system uploaded the file fine.

    


    According to the logs, it then copied the file from storage to tmp as the tutorial has us do.

    


    Then it called streamio-ffmpeg's transcode method.

    


    At this point, Heroku forcibly kills the dymo because it far exceeds the memory quota.

    


    As this is a test environment, it's only on the free tier of Heroku.

    


    I'm thinking I won't be able to directly process video projects on Heroku itself, unless I'm wrong ? Would it be better to call an API like Cloud Functions or Amazon Lambda, or spin up a Compute Engine long enough to process the FFMPEG command ?
