How do I make my discord bot play music by using youtubedl's search function instead of url ? (Python)
28 septembre 2021, par PypypieYumI want it to search for the video and play it, how can i change the following code to achieve that ? Every time I use the ytsearch function in ytdl, I notice that it only searches for the first word of the title and download it, however, it causes error later on and do nothing.

@commands.command()
 async def play(self, ctx, url):
 if ctx.author.voice is None:
 await ctx.send("You are not in a voice channel!")
 voice_channel = ctx.author.voice.channel
 if ctx.voice_client is None:
 await voice_channel.connect()
 else:
 await ctx.voice_client.move_to(voice_channel)

 ctx.voice_client.stop()
 FFMPEG_OPTIONS = {'before_options': '-reconnect 1 -reconnect_streamed 1 -reconnect_delay_max 5', 'options': '-vn'}
 YDL_OPTIONS = {'format':"bestaudio", 'default_search':"ytsearch"}
 vc = ctx.voice_client

 with youtube_dl.YoutubeDL(YDL_OPTIONS) as ydl:
 info = ydl.extract_info(url, download=False)
 if 'entries' in info:
 url2 = info["entries"][0]["formats"][0]
 elif 'formats' in info:
 url2 = info["formats"][0]['url']
 source = await discord.FFmpegOpusAudio.from_probe(url2, **FFMPEG_OPTIONS)
 vc.play(source)

And this is the error message :

Ignoring exception in command play:
