Alternatives to Facebook 360 Encoder for Spatial + Headlock Encoding ?
31 juillet 2023, par Robert NUnfortunately FB 360 Encoder is no longer being worked on with no alternatives that I can find & right now I cannot get it to work on mac.

I am looking to combine two stems as per the tutorial here - 1 spatial audio (16channel) with 1 headlock audio (stereo) for a 180 stereo (side by side) video in the highest quality allowed for a Meta Quest 2 headset.

FFMPEG recipes are preferred but paid alternatives are welcome. So far the best I could find for encoding was "use the old software" but even if it worked, I do not trust out of date/dead software for production : Facebook 360 Encoder Error - FFmpeg libavdevice.57.dylib (not a mach-o file)

FFMpeg : How to stream to Facebook Live ? [closed]
22 mars 2024, par Thomas CarltonI have ffmpeg on Windows.

I would like to stream an mp4 file to Facebook Live. The video has an audio track.

I am running the following command :

ffmpeg
 -re -i video.mp4
 -acodec libmp3lame
 -b:a 128k
 -pix_fmt yuv420p
 -profile:v baseline
 -bufsize 6000k
 -maxrate 1500k
 -deinterlace
 -vcodec libx264
 -preset veryfast
 -g 30
 -r 30
 -f flv
 -flvflags no_duration_filesize
 "rtmps://live-api-s.facebook.com:443/rtmp/mykey"

This command works for exactly 14 frames and then it stops.

Then, I'm getting the following error saying "Conversion failed".

I tried to stream to AWS IVS. But I'm getting the exact same error.

What is wrong with my command ?

avio_open2 fails randomly for RTMPS Facebook live streaming
3 janvier, par UsamaI am trying to re stream a video to Facebook RTMPS endpoint and , facing an issue specifically with Facebook's RTMPS endpoint . I have tried with linkedin RTMPS endpoint and its working fine , but Facebook end point some times works and fails some times its totally random . The avio_open2 call sometimes fails randomly, returning a -5 error. This only seems to happen with the Facebook endpoint .on ffmpeg log side I see that the handshake was successful , I don't understand the reason for failure here. (i am running in multithreaded environment )

int ret = avformat.avio_open2(pb, url , AVIO_FLAG_WRITE, null, getOptionDictionary()) ;
