• ffmpeg terminates without any output

  I am using ffmpeg to convert a video file to mp4. here is my code

  The code works fine on my localhost (Windows 7 + wamp).. But on live server , only $command is echoed.. and script is terminated. The output file is generated but it is only 4.5MB (it should be around 17 MB) and not complete... and sometime I get the following output..

  the value printed for $status is 137 in this case.

  Any help is really appreciated.

• ffmpeg convert 4K file to 1080p mp4 file

  i’m using ffmpeg to converting video in windows service, when i’m trying to converting 4K video to 1080p ffmpeg returns error like this :

  libvo_aacenc Stream mapping : Stream #0:0 -> #0:0 (h264 (native) ->
  h264 (libx264)) Stream #0:2 -> #0:1 (ac3 (native) -> aac
  (libvo_aacenc)) Error while opening encoder for output stream #0:1 -
  maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width or height

  my ffmpeg convert command like this :

  ffmpeg -i 4k2.mp4 -vf scale=1920:1080 -threads 3 4k2_1080.mp4

  what’s wrong with this ?

• check video actual resolution, not from metadata, on ubuntu

  I need to check the dimension of a video. When I check its properties on Ubuntu 14.04, it shows 1920*1080, which is correct. However when I check it using ffmpeg, it shows 640*480 and PAR 1:1, which is set incorrectly in metadata.

  How can I find out the actual dimension the video display without changing the metadata (since there are a lot of video like this) ? Or if anyone can explain how Ubuntu default video player can read it correctly ?
