How do I get strftime working ? Nothing has been working so far
17 janvier 2020, par ENunnTrying to add a timestamp for ffmpeg for capture card recoridngs but its not working at all.
ffmpeg -f dshow -rtbufsize 100M -i video="Game Capture HD60 S (Video) (#01)":audio="Game Capture HD60 S (Audio) (#01)" -c:v mpeg2video -q:v 0 -r 29.97 -c:a aac -b:a 192k -threads 12 -flags +ilme+ildct -top 1 -strftime 1 "file-%Y%m%d-%%04d.ts"
The output file is basically just "file-%Y%m%d-%%04d.ts", no dates or times. Any help ?

Space Adventure CD-ROM
1er octobre 2011, par Multimedia Mike — Game HackingI acquired a CD-ROM entitled Space Adventure by Knowledge Adventure (I like these people ; they make decent, entertaining educational games). The physical media displays a copyright date of 1993, very early in the multimedia era.
This 1993 CD-ROM makes proud use of multimedia files. What kind ? There’s a movies/ directory with 17 .mov files. It would be way too simple if these were QuickTime files, though. These represent a custom format, and video-only since a separate sounds/ directory contains .snd files with filenames corresponding to the .mov files. The .snd files are actually Creative Voice (a.k.a. VOC) files. As for this MOV format, wiki page and samples.
I was also surprised to find the binary ultrasnd.exe file among the drivers on the disc. The Gravis UltraSound was released in 1992. The sound setup utility does not have an option for the GUS, however. No matter since DOSBox has great SB/Pro/16 emulation.
I’m also a bit puzzled about why the DOSBox screenshots are 720 x 480 (posted here are various cropping and resizings).

Given an x264 stream and an ogg vorbis stream, how do I make a muxed stream that mplayer/VLC can read ?
14 avril 2012, par dascandyI'm confused and a bit stuck with this question. All I can find on Google is basic usage of transcoding software, which is not related to the question.
I'm making a game and I'd like to include native capture ability to stream video. I would much like to stream this to a standard-ish client, such as VLC. It needs to be both in a format it recognizes and it needs to be multiplexed in order for this to work.
My question therefore is, I know how to encode stuff from raw video frames to x264 (see also How to encode series of images into H264 using x264 API ? (C/C++) ). I know how to encode raw audio samples into ogg/vorbis. Now, how do I put one and one together for VLC ?
