Encoding and processing into web-friendly formats
13 avril 2011, parMediaSPIP automatically converts uploaded files to internet-compatible formats.
Video files are encoded in MP4, Ogv and WebM (supported by HTML5) and MP4 (supported by Flash).
Audio files are encoded in MP3 and Ogg (supported by HTML5) and MP3 (supported by Flash).
Where possible, text is analyzed in order to retrieve the data needed for search engine detection, and then exported as a series of image files.

Run Command/Process in Background but return the return code
14 juin 2019, par techsavyI am Looking to run ffmpeg via subprocess, start the command in the background but return a return code so that further steps can be taken based on that return code. (stdout, stderr) = metadata.communicate is throwing all sorts of errors perhaps due to the process still being run.

Paperclip-ffmpeg not working on Rails
28 juillet 2013, par Lee7355512727I installed Paperclip-ffmpeg and tried to upload a flv file, but it seems there are some problems converting the file.
I added
Paperclip.options[:command_path] = "/usr/bin/"(I got the path by usingwhich ffmpeg) to myconfig/environments/development.rbfile, following the instructions on the paperclip-ffmpeg github page.Here is my model

I tried to ignore the error by this answer but it seems it's not the case. I also checked similar case but its answer for getting a static git binary is not my cas as well since not especial converting PNG to MP4 !
