Launching ffmpeg from inside my C code doesn't convert video stream from fifo
13 mai 2017, par abraxas1(Beaglebone Black, ubuntu 16.04 linux 4.4.62-ti-r99)
I have a raw h264 feed coming into my C program (into a callback from a custom API) and then I named-piped the raw h264 to a file and this CLI command converts that file successfully.
ffmpeg -report -re -framerate 30 -y -f h264 -i orbi_0148.cam1.h264 -c:v copy -an -video_size 1920x1080 -f mp4 orbi_0148.cam1-1.mp4
I then try to launch this command from my program with the same options using execv(),
first mkfifo the fifo’s,
then launch ffmpeg (shown below) starts the streaming form the cameras to my callback function, and out to the fifos.
I close the fifos at the end of video recording, and don’t get any file created and get this output, which I don’t understand at all.
(the successful command line output follows below this output generated from execv())
thanks, any help much appreciated.
hardware has come in now and the spot light is on me.(execv output with options -report -y -i /tmp/fifocam3.h264 -c:v copy -an -video_size 1920x1080 -f mp4 /media/sd-card/orbi_0140.cam3.mp4)

ffmpeg audio conversion distorted - half rate
6 novembre 2013, par user1688971I'm trying to convert an asf audio to mp3 using ffmpeg.
But I have one specific audio that gets distorted in the middle and starts like if the person was talking in slow motion (at half rate). The command I'm using is :
ffmpeg - i input.asf -ac 2 output.mp3
I've tried a lot of options, but about the middle of the audio is when it fails.
The raw file sounds good, so it's not the recording. It is af in the middle of the transmission the frame rate went down for some reason. Thanks all !
[EDIT]
I'm adding the console response after running the command as a suggestion from LordNeckbeard :
[root@mynasserver home]# ffmpeg -i recording-8532-1.asf -ac 2 -ab 64k -ar 44100 recording-8532-ac2-ar44100.mp3

How can I compress or change the resolution of the video very fast with FFmpeg ?
28 mai 2017, par RaresI would like to compress or change the resolution of the video before sending it to server but I don’t want to take too long. For example for the following code a video with size 100MB it takes 2-3 min to resize it to 10MB. Can I do it faster without losing too much quality ?
