  • Multilang : améliorer l’interface pour les blocs multilingues

    Multilang est un plugin supplémentaire qui n’est pas activé par défaut lors de l’initialisation de MediaSPIP.
    Après son activation, une préconfiguration est mise en place automatiquement par MediaSPIP init permettant à la nouvelle fonctionnalité d’être automatiquement opérationnelle. Il n’est donc pas obligatoire de passer par une étape de configuration pour cela.

    Pour un fonctionnement correct et optimal, plusieurs choses sont à prendre en considération.
    Il est important, après avoir installé apache2, mysql et php5, d’installer d’autres logiciels nécessaires dont les installations sont décrites dans les liens afférants. Un ensemble de librairies multimedias (x264, libtheora, libvpx) utilisées pour l’encodage et le décodage des vidéos et sons afin de supporter le plus grand nombre de fichiers possibles.   • FFMpegm. Unable to get video stream from a onvif camera

    I have implemented ffmpeg in my own application to watch live video from video cameras.
    I have tested my application with 2 models of onvif camera and the application works perfectly.
    The customer has got another model of video cameram still onvif h264 but I can’t watch the live stream.
    I can wath it using vlc but when I try to watch it with my application I obtain the following error :

    I have already tried to modify analyzeduration and probesize without any good result.

    How to resolve this error ?
    Could it be caused by a not up-to-date h264 library ?

  • Converting mp4 to multiple resolutions using FFMPEG

    I am developing a E-Learning website where people can upload videos.

    When someone uploads a video, they usually upload it in 1080p full HD which is good.
    Now the issue is that when people watch the videos, they are only in 1080p and some people have bad internet (including myself) so watching a video in 1080p is not optimal.

    So I assume that converting the video to different formats (720p, 360 etc..) is the best way to go here.
    So I tried using FFMpeg, and it works, but its really slow, especially since some videos are over 10 minutes long and over 1gb in size.

    I use this command in FFMPEG :

    ffmpeg -i video.mp4 -vf scale:1280:720 -strict -2 output.mp4

    This works, but its really slow.

    Is there any better way to do this ? Since some people upload 5-10 videos and every video has to be in 3 different formats (1080p(original) 720p, 360p).

    Can someone give me some guidelines how to tackle this issue, as this kind of stops the website from progressing atm.

    I am trying to record short video of my desktop and upload it to youtube.
    The problem is that every time when I upload it to youtube or even dropbox (as video), the quality is much worse.

    My ffmpeg execution :

    ffmpeg -f x11grab -s 1366x768 -r 30 -i :0.0 -codec:v libx264 -crf 10 -bf 20 -flags +cgop -pix_fmt yuv440p -movflags faststart help.mp4

    based on :

    ffmpeg -i <input file="file" /> -codec:v libx264 -crf 21 -bf 2 -flags +cgop -pix_fmt yuv420p -codec:a aac -strict -2 -b:a 384k -r:a 48000 -movflags faststart .mp4
