  • Use ffmpeg in C language with linux

    14 décembre 2019, par Edoardo Colella

    I tried to use ffmpeg concatenation with popen command in C but I get "No such file or directory". If I use Linux terminal with the same command it works.

    C code :

    fp=popen("ffmpeg -i \"concat: audio/1.mp3|audio/2.mp3\" -acodec copyoutput.mp3", "r");
    pclose(fp);

    Error in Linux shell :

    audio/1.mp3|audio/2.mp3 No such file of directory found

    What could be the problem ?

  • ffmpeg issue when recording screen+microphone+(music from file)

    9 juin 2016, par Taras Nikulin

    I’m trying to record using this command :

    ffmpeg -f avfoundation -pix_fmt nv12 -i "1:0" -r 30 -i monoSound.aac -filter_complex amerge=inputs=2 -vcodec h264 -qscale:v 0 -acodec aac -ab 128k -ac 1 -ar 44100 -async 30 outScreen.mp4

    I get such error :

    The following filters could not choose their formats: Parsed_amerge_0
    Consider inserting the (a)format filter near their input or output.
    Error configuring complex filters.
    Input/output error

    If i rewove this "-async 30", then no errors appear in terminal. But on final video sound will disappear after couple seconds.

  • Restart ffmpeg on loss of stream

    21 octobre 2018, par JoeN

    I record a rtmps stream with ffmpeg, occasionally the stream drops out for various reasons (isp failure, network problems) Ffmpeg stops and I have to manualy restart it.
    Is there a way to monitor for stream loss and restart ffmpeg ?
    Maybe a script ? I use Linux. I have tried timout stimout but they do not work.

    Here is my ffmpeg command that I enter in terminal

    ffmpeg -i rtmps://(url) -r 25 \
    -vf "drawtext=fontfile=/usr/share/fonts/truetype/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf: text='%{localtime}': x=(w-tw)/2: y=h-(2*lh): fontcolor=white: fontsize=24: box=1: boxcolor=0x00000000@1" \
    -f segment -strftime 1 -segment_time 1800 \
    -segment_format mkv /media/joe/disk/a/%m_%d_%Y-%H_%M_%S.mkv
