  • Multilang : améliorer l’interface pour les blocs multilingues

    Multilang est un plugin supplémentaire qui n’est pas activé par défaut lors de l’initialisation de MediaSPIP.
    Après son activation, une préconfiguration est mise en place automatiquement par MediaSPIP init permettant à la nouvelle fonctionnalité d’être automatiquement opérationnelle. Il n’est donc pas obligatoire de passer par une étape de configuration pour cela.

  • FFMPEG : Position images in video when creating slide show

    I’m using FFMPEG shell utility in an Android app to convert users pictures to video, here’s an example command :

    cat *.jpg | ffmpeg -f image2pipe -r 10  -vcodec mjpeg -i - -vcodec libx264 -s 1280x720 -preset ultrafast slideshow.mp4

    I used to crop images when the user import it in the app but now I would like to allow the user to reposition the image later, here’s an example :

    So the user could drag or zoom the image to position it in the clear area (video ratio).

    So using the ffmpeg shell command can I specify the image coordinate for each image and position the image in the video.

  • Video Codec For Commercial Use [on hold]

    I am new in video programming and I need to make a commercial application that needs to export some video. I was going to use OpenCV, but the documentation says it can’t write a video larger than 2Gb and that’s not something that my project can tolerate.

    I have an industrial camera and I will receive each frame of the camera in my C++ code and I want to transform the frames in a video. So far I am thinking about using FFmpeg for the video generation, but I am afraid of all these patented codecs.

    Are there any codecs that are free for commercial use ?

    1. I am not asking for an opinion, but a list of commercial free codecs. I am not asking which are good or bad (which is opinion based) I just can’t find a list online.

    2. This is about programing, there are lots of posts here in SO about legal issues on software like licensing, there is even one with a "legal" tag. I found many posts related to codecs licenses but none with a list of free ones. Of course this is programing related, I will develop and architecture my code around my options.

    avfilter/vf_delogo : round to the closest value

    When the interpolated value is divided by the sum of weights, no
    
rounding is done, which means the value is truncated. This results in
    
a slight bias towards dark green in the interpolated area. Rounding
    
properly removes the bias.
    

    I measured this change to reduce the interpolation error by 1 to 2 %
    
on average on a number of sample input and logo area combinations.
