  • FFMPEG, pixelated frames, and webm format

22 septembre 2016, par Abel Mohler

It seems like every time I split a .webm video, half or more of the frames are pixelated and distorted.

My configuration looks like the following :

FFmpeg version 0.6.6-4:0.6.6-0ubuntu0.11.04.1, Copyright (c) 2000-2010 the Libav developers
     built on Jun 12 2012 16:35:16 with gcc 4.5.2
     configuration: --extra-version=4:0.6.6-0ubuntu0.11.04.1 --prefix=/usr --enable-avfilter --enable-avfilter-lavf --enable-vdpau --enable-bzlib --enable-libgsm --enable-libschroedinger --enable-libspeex --enable-libtheora --enable-libvorbis --enable-pthreads --enable-zlib --enable-libvpx --disable-stripping --enable-runtime-cpudetect --enable-vaapi --enable-gpl --enable-postproc --enable-swscale --enable-x11grab --enable-libdc1394 --enable-shared --disable-static

Does anyone have any experience with something similar to this ? When I play the same videos with a standard ffmpeg player on the same system, they look just fine.

  • ffmpeg : using the returned data in php

    4 décembre 2013, par user1503606

I have started using ffmpeg and I am very new to it, so please bear with me.

I have installed ffmpeg on my server and it works great ; I can run certain commands and get output data when logged in via ssh

    For example I can run

    ffmpeg -i Sleep\ Away.mp3

    Which returns the following :

ffmpeg version 0.8.5, Copyright (c) 2000-2011 the FFmpeg developers

       artist          : Bob Acri
       title           : Sleep Away
       genre           : Jazz

       Stream #0.0: Audio: mp3, 44100 Hz, stereo, s16, 192 kb/s
At least one output file must be specified

The question I am asking is, how can I use the output data above ? I am developiong a music website ; say I want to loop through all the MP3 files and save the info about them into a database, so that the above would result in :

    Sleep Away.mp3    mp3    3:21    Jazz    2004     Bob Acri ...

    obviously in a table

I have tried to use the php backtick operator with no success so far. I just thought I would put a question up here to get some advice from people that have done something similar.

    Thanks

Update : I have tried the following

    &lt;?php $output = `ffmpeg -i Sleep\ Away.mp3`; echo "<pre>$output</pre>"; ?>
    &lt;?php $output = shell_exec(&#39;ffmpeg -i Sleep\ Away.mp3&#39;); echo "<pre>$output</pre>"; ?>

both don't appear to return anything.

  • no c compiler found libx264 build [closed]

24 août 2012, par kerim yucel

I have been trying to build ffmpeg for Android and I have managed to do so by using roman10's tutorial.

However, I needed x264 and I enabled libx264 in the configurations but it wasn't able to find the library. A quick internet search led me to the answer that I have to build x264 seperately and include it to ffmpeg config by editing ExternalLibs flags.

Currently I am using this script to build x264. Everything is fine except the fact that the error saying "No working C compiler is found" pops up. I have updated and installed build-essential and my gcc version is up to date.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

P.S. I am using ndk 4 just to make everything compatible with the tutorial link given above. I am running Ubuntu with VirtualBox from Windows 7.

Edit : I have been trying this tutorial as well, I am getting the same error along with unknown options error for each configuration options.

    Another edit :
I have tried this code and obtained the following.

    echo 'int main() return 0 ;' > main.c && arm-eabi-gcc main.c || echo $ ?

    /home/mehmet/Android_NDK_r4/build/prebuilt/linux-x86/arm-eabi-4.4.0/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-eabi/4.4.0/../../../../arm-eabi/bin/ld : crt0.o : No such file : No such file or directory collect2 : ld returned
    1 exit status 1

I have checked the flags as well, flags seem ok or I can't see the faulty line. Above you may find the build script I am using.

Problem solved. It was just a mistake related to typos. It works well now.
